TERMS & CONDITIONS

UNIT = CARAVAN/MOTORHOME.

ALL BOOKINGS ARE SUBJECT TO £100 REFUNDABLE SECURITY BOND/NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT UPON BOOKING

1)Flamingo Land is a FAMILY HOLIDAY PARK any unreasonable conduct which causes a nuisance/damage may be asked to leave the resort, forfeiting the remainder of their holiday without a refund/part refund

2)Reports of a pet/s staying in our non-pet friendly units will result in your bond being charged for a deep clean. For our pet friendly units, we respectfully request that pets are kept off the furniture and out of the bedrooms where applicable

3)Smoking is NOT permitted in any unit or doorways, IF THE SMELL OF SMOKE IS DETECTED, YOUR BOND WILL BE CHARGED TO PAY FOR A DEEP CLEAN. Please note that air fresheners do not eliminate the smell of smoke. Please do not extinguish cigarettes etc on any decking area. Any damage caused by burns will result in your bond being charged and/or further claims being made to repair/replace the damage

4)Entertainment and facilities at Flamingo Land are beyond our control and we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for this

5)We CANNOT accept liability for any loss or damage to cars, belongings or personal injury occurring whilst staying in any of our units. We recommend that you purchase some form of holiday insurance. THERE IS NO INSURANCE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF YOUR HOLIDAY EXCEPT FOR THE MOTORHOME

6)We cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss caused by the use of any electrical items within the unit, if one of the electrical items isn't working or breaks down, we will do our best to repair/replace the item as soon as possible. WE CANNOT MAKE ANY REFUNDS FOR ITEMS NOT WORKING OR MISSING. ANY DAMAGES/LOSSES WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE BOND AND THE REMAINING RETURNED

7)PARK PASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED; THESE MUST BE PURCHASED DIRECTLY WITH FLAMINGO LAND UPON ARRIVAL FROM THE ARRIVALS LODGE WHEN CHECKING IN FOR THE CARAVAN. THEY ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL GUESTS AGED 4 YEARS AND OVER. ANY CHANGES MADE TO YOUR BOOKING FORM WITHIN 4 WEEKS OF YOUR ARRIVAL WILL INCUR AN ADMIN CHARGE OF £25

8)THE FULL AMOUNT OF YOUR HOLIDAY MUST BE PAID AT LEAST 42 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. IF PAYMENTS ARE NOT COMPLETE AND PAID BY THE DUE DATE, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY, CHARGES MAY APPLY, AND TO RE-LET THE UNIT

9)WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY BUT RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT YOU LEAVE THE UNIT IN A REASONABLY CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION. We try and ensure that our units are cleaned to an acceptable standard, if there is anything you are not happy with upon arrival, please let us know immediately so we have the opportunity to put it right. IF YOU FIND ANY DAMAGES YOU MUST REPORT THESE TO US UPON ARRIVAL TO AVOID BEING CHARGED. Units left in an unreasonable condition will be charged for

10)Caravans must be vacated by 10am on the last day and no keys will be released before 4pm on the day of arrival without prior arrangement with the caravan owner. The Motorhome can be collected from 2pm and must be returned by 11am on your return date, late arrivals will be charged for at £25 per half hour. The motorhome must return in the same condition as collected, wastes emptied and tanks re-fuelled.

11)The keys for the unit are your responsibility while staying, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR REPLACEMENT KEYS/LOCKS IF LOST/DAMAGED

12)Please note extra guests CANNOT, under any circumstances, be added to your booking on the day of arrival or when checking in, any additional guests will be turned away and refused access to the unit and the caravan site. We reserve the right to cancel any previous arrangements with no refunds

13)Parents/Guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times to ensure the safety of their children whilst in the unit and outdoors. It is also the responsibility of the parents/guardians to inform us upon arrival of any dangers in the unit specific to their children that may need attention

14)Any body paint, slime, make up etc which cause permanent damage to the caravan will result in charges made against the bond

15)Quilts, pillows and linen are provided free of charge within the caravans, NO bedding is provided in the motorhome and we suggest sleeping bags for your convenience. YOUR BOND WILL BE CHARGED IF BED LINEN IS NOT USED AND RESULTS IN ANY MARKINGS

Payments accepted by cheque, bacs, and the following cards:

Visa, Mastercard, American Express
A non refundable deposit of £100 per caravan booked is required upon booking
If the booking is cancelled more than 42 days before arrival then a charge equal to 25% of the stay will be made
If the booking is cancelled less than 42 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made
If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to 100% of the stay will be made
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged

IF YOUR BOOKING IS CANCELLED DUE TO CLOSURE THEN ALL MONEY RECEIVED WILL BE REFUNDED, OTHERWISE, PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE HOLIDAY INSURANCE

BY BOOKING AND PAYING YOUR DEPOSIT YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS LISTED ABOVE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR MOTORHOME HIRE
TERMS OF HIRE

1) INSURANCE

Full comprehensive insurance is provided for all drivers for the duration of hire, for travel within the UK. All drivers must be between the ages of 23 and 75 and have at least 2 years driving experience (Full UK or EU licence, please check for all other types of licences)

• Two, 3-point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2 x SP30’s, 3pts each) without referral

• Single 4-point offences are acceptable without referral and subject to standard terms

• Single 6-point SP30, SP50 and CU80 convictions are acceptable subject to a £1000 excess. All other 6 points+ offences will require referral to the insurers

• No more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last three years

All payments must be made from the named driver’s bank account and the signed hirer contract must be completed by the named driver

Travel outside of the UK is not permitted

You must provide a total of two proofs of address from the following and must be dated within 90 days of the hire date (An annual council tax bill will be accepted) The address and name on your licence must match both documents:

2) BOOKING, SECURITY/DAMAGE BOND & PAYMENTS

A non-refundable deposit of £100 (this is deducted from the balance) is required upon booking and enters you into the contract for hiring the motorhome.

The balance must be clear 6 weeks (42days) prior to arrival and all copies of driving licences and proofs of address supplied.

A refundable security/damage bond of £750 must be paid into our account by the primary driver and is a requirement from the insurance company, this must be paid by cheque or BACS (we cannot accept cash for this)

The vehicle should be returned in a clean condition, undamaged with a full tank of fuel, toilet container emptied and water/wastewater tanks emptied and no other excesses to be charged, the security/damage bond will be returned within 3 working days. Should any of the above not be carried out, the following charges will be made:

• High levels of dirt, stains or smells, a £75 valeting charge will be made.
• Toilet or water tanks not emptied; a £25 charge will be made.
• If the fuel tank has not been re-filled, a £25 refuelling charge plus the cost of the diesel to re-fill.
• If the vehicle is damaged, the cost of all repairs, plus reasonable administration charges for repairs and replacements will be deducted up to the level of the security/damage bond. For damage greater than the security bond, requiring an insurance claim, the full bond will pay for the insurance policy excess and no refund will be given.

3) COLLECTIONS & RETURNS

Collection of the vehicle is between 3.00pm and 4.00pm. You are advised to check the vehicle thoroughly and ensure that you understand how to drive and operate it before leaving the premises. Customer’s vehicle can be stored on the motorhome plot within the secure compound during the period of hire. We, nor the storage company, accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that might occur.

The motorhome must be returned and vacated by 11.30am, late returns have a significant impact on the next hirer. You must inform us of any delays as soon as possible. The motorhome will be inspected on return for damage, cleanliness, toilet and water tanks emptied and fuel tank full except the use from local fuel station to storage. Failure to return the motorhome in the same/similar condition will result in all or part of the security/damage bond being retained.

4) BREAKDOWN & ACCIDENTS

Please refer to the information pack provided, contact numbers and policy numbers provided. Do not accept any liability and follow the instructions in the pack.

5) PETS

Up to two small well behaved dogs allowed in the motorhome, please keep them off the furniture and all evidence of dogs being present in the motorhome must be removed prior to returning the vehicle. We reserve the right to deduct the amount for a valet or repair any damage caused by pets.

6) SMOKING/VAPING/CANDLES

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the motorhome and the same applies to vaping and burning candles.

7) SEATBELTS

Our motorhome is fitted with 6, three-point seatbelts, these must be worn at all times while the vehicle is in motion. Child car seats must be used for children in accordance with the law. It is the responsibility of the hirer to fit any car seats themselves, we take no responsibility for any ill fitted car seats or seatbelts not being worn. No more than 6 people can travel or sleep in the motorhome.

8) CANCELLATIONS

We advise that travel insurance is obtained to cover the cost of any cancellations and also to cover personal belongings.

If cancelled:
6 weeks or more prior to arrival, £30 of the deposit will be retained and the remaining money paid refunded.
4-6 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit of £100 will be retained and the remaining money paid refunded.
2-4 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit of £100 will be retained and 50% of the remaining money paid refunded unless the dates are refilled. £50 of the deposit will be retained regardless.
0-2 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit of £100 will be retained and 0% of the remaining money paid refunded unless the dates are refilled. The deposit will be retained regardless.
